Our Titchfield Garden Centre doesn’t just cater for gardeners. We challenged the team to find some lovely gifts in store that even people who don’t have a garden will enjoy. For a range of budgets, here’s our round-up of what we’ll be buying our non-gardening family and friends this Christmas!
Light enough for anyone to use, these colourful shovels would be great at scooping snow, clearing leaves or mucking out. They would fit in the average car boot neatly, too, for any winter emergencies on the go.
We wouldn’t recommend you try digging the garden with them but they have a range of other uses (giant sandcastles perhaps?).
They are half-price for the time being so scoop up a bargain now!
Most of us know someone who considers themselves the barbeque maestro so why not add to their toolkit with some of our wooden handled, stainless steel forks and sausage sizzlers?
Currently at a great end-of-season price, snap them up before they go.
(No, we don’t know how you’d wrap them up either but perhaps the tube from the middle of the wrapping paper roll would be useful?)
These sturdy brackets are designed to carry the weight of a planted hanging basket so we can’t think of many uses which would need a greater weight-bearing capacity!
Decorated with a selection of adorable animals – the ducks here are just the start – they could be useful and beautiful both indoors and out.
Looking for an unusual but water-resistant shower tray? Or a decorative spice rack? Although this shelf was designed to hold small plant pots in the garden, we think it’s pretty enough to use indoors too. Easily see and grab what you’re looking for – and its wire base will mean it doesn’t collect dust.
It can be attached to a wall or used free-standing.
If you’re buying for someone who likes practical gifts, a pair of scoops could be just the ticket. Even non-gardeners are likely to need to sweep leaves or snow at some point and these scoops work like giant hands to make the job much quicker.
Our range of decorative mirrors will reflect light into the gloomiest of corners, indoors or out. They are weather-resistant, so could easily be hung on an outside wall or fence to help illuminate a balcony or garden. But we also think they’d look lovely in a conservatory or on the stairs, to bounce light around indoors as well.
They come in a range of sizes and prices.
Another ‘outside/inside’ gift idea is our range of circular wall art. This colourful butterfly ring is just one example, and is about 75cm (30 inches) in diameter. It comes with a loop for hanging.
We also have larger rings in a range of different designs so call in and choose for yourself.
